Halbert, Ms. Brenda age-48 passed away Tuesday June 26,2012 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11am Tuesday July 3,2012 from the New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church 1035 E. Carpenter Rd. Rev. Dr. John Halbert officiating, Eld. Patrick W. Sanders Host Pastor. Interment Lovedale Memorial Cemetery G-5175 E. Bristol Rd. Ms. Halbert will repose at the church after 8am Tuesday with family visitation 10:30am. Ms. Brenda Halbert was born July 8, 1963 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Jessie and Mollie Mae (Ellis) Halbert Sr. Brenda attended school in Flint and graduated from Flint Northern High School. A lifelong resident of Flint, Ms. Brenda (as she was called by many) loved kids and was a caregiver for her entire life. She worked at many daycare centers throughout the Flint and surrounding areas. She loved modeling, going to the beaches and sledding. Her gentle spirit and kind nature made her a magnet for wonderful acts of kindness. Our Beloved Brenda leaves to cherish her memory; Brothers: Jessie (Althea) Halbert Jr. of Flint, MI, Rev. Dr. John (Mae) Halbert of Elgin, IL, Willie (Bonnie) Hudson of Louisville, MS; Sisters Lillie(Leaon) Wade of Elgin,TX, Lelia (Ocie) Lewis Jr. of Canton, MI. Six nephews, 4 nieces, 3 Uncles, 3 Aunts, host of cousins, Great-Nieces & nephews, Special cousins: Willar Ivory, Betty Jean Perkins, Renae and Felicia Chambry, Kendra Chapman, special friend Willie McCraw, devoted friends Mary Davis, Cynthia Bandy, Abdell, Brenda Sykes, Latrell, a host of relatives and friends. We are most grateful to the 4th Floor ICU Unit at Hurley Medical Center and to the Martin J. Banks Funeral Home of Flint Michigan. Ms. Brenda, was preceded in death by parents, Jessie Halbert Sr. and Mollie Mae Ellis and Special Cousin Mattie B. Chambry & Maxine Chambry.
